Wood's professional experience includes a combination of finance, marketing and technology. During his 10 year investment banking experience, he has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions on both the buy-side and sell-side. His finance experience also includes over seven years in corporate lending with First Union. While at First Union, his client base consisted of middle market companies located in the Georgia and North Carolina markets. Wood also gained operational experience with start-up technology companies as CFO for Marine Environmental Research, Inc.

As Vice President of Marketing, Wood managed the marketing efforts for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.

Wood holds an MBA from the Kenan Flagler School of Business at UNC-Chapel Hill.
